Abstract
Set in the early 1930s, Thunderstorm is a tragedy entangling complicated blood relationships with numerous inevitable tragic coincidences. We watch the fate of three characters unfold: Zhou Puyuan, who has an illicit relationship with his step-mother, Fangyi, who shoots himself and the woman he loves with a pistol and Sifeng, who dies from electrocution.
