Abstract
In a motel room in the Northern Territory during the early days of the Intervention, six lost people confront their demons and try to escape inevitable tragedies. A young boy tries to talk to a man with a violent past. A drunk cop and his pregnant wife argue. A government social worker watches over a disturbed and neglected teenage girl. Though their stories take place at different points in time, the audience sees them occupying the room simultaneously. The play explores the idea of traumatic events leaving behind stains in the places they occurred, with those memories infecting the spaces long after it’s over.
