‘200 Years’ is the first play of the Melbourne University’s Australian season. Romeril rediscovers two Australian explorers “long neglected to the groom of the pillar box”. They emerge not as heroic figures battling against terrible odds in the Australian outback, but as selfish, egotistical materialistically motivated men to whom exploration is but a means to personal gain.
