Title | Virtual Banality |
Start Date | 04/04/1995 |
End Date | 13/04/1995 |
Abstract | Director’s Note: Negative representation of groups or individuals without power in our society, without comment, are purely re-preserntatoins of lateful stereotypes and are to be abhored. Comment, however, can be subtle. It can be present purely in context. Enjoy our show, and look out for the forest amongst all those trees. Assistant Director’s Note: John, I think we need to talk. (It should be pointed out that my only ‘note’ is a response to John’s. Such is my role as “assistant” Director. I’m not better.) “Virtual Banality” was interesting because as far as I know it was the first Revue to queston. What a University comedy show is actually for. The Revue’s central theme, running through several sketches, was that comedy can never be nice, can never be safe. |
